Yes. All members pay an annual Alberta Gymnastics Federation membership fee when they first register each season. This fee is valid for the entire AGF season, from July 1 to June 30, and is transferable across AGF member clubs in Alberta, so it is paid only once per season.
Yes. Sibling and multi-class discounts are available and are automatically applied to monthly invoicing. Families enrolling in more than one class per week receive a 10% discount on the second class fee.
Withdrawal requests must be sent by email to info@glenmoregymnastics.ca by the 25th of the month to avoid the next month's automatic invoicing.

Classes and Programs
Glenmore Gymnastics offers a wide variety of class options, starting as early as 18 months and continuing through adult classes for ages 18 and older. See the Recreational Program section for class options based on your child's age.
Start with the program description and age range listed on the class page. If you are unsure, contact the office and we can help match your child with an appropriate program.
Yes. Trial classes are available for a fee of $15.00. Trials are limited to one trial class per program; for example, a child cannot complete trial classes in multiple Recreational Program classes.
Our main season runs from September to June, with summer programming running in July and August.
Parent and Tot, Preschool, and Kindergym classes are grouped by age. Other recreational classes are grouped first by level and then by age. Recreational classes are open to children ages 6 and up, and a teen-specific class is offered once a week for recreational athletes ages 13 to 17.
Participants should wear comfortable clothing that allows safe movement, such as a leotard, athletic shorts, leggings, or a T-shirt. Clothing should not have hoods, excessive zippers, or pockets. Long hair should be tied back, jewelry should be removed, and socks are removed for class.
Leotards are not required for recreational classes, but they are required for competitive groups.
Yes. Parents are welcome to watch their children's classes from the viewing area.
Make-up options depend on the program, session schedule, and class capacity. Contact the office as early as possible if your child will miss a class.

Preschool and Kindergym
No. Parent and Tot classes are fully parented. Each child needs their own parent or guardian with them and assisting throughout the full 45-minute class.
Preschool classes for children ages 3 to 4 are 45 minutes long. They are unparented, so children participate with a coach while parents remain in the viewing area.
Recreational classes have a ratio of one certified coach for every 10 children. Classes with 8 or more children also have an assistant coach alongside the lead coach.
Preschool classes mix structure and play. Children begin with a game-based warm-up, then rotate through stations. Stations are set up in fun, engaging ways that encourage playfulness while still following a rotation-based structure.
Yes. Once children turn 6, they age out of Kindergym and move to a Beginner class.
Recreational Gymnastics
The Recreational Program includes Parent and Tot, Preschool, Kindergym, Advanced Kindergym, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels.
Coaches use Glenmore Gymnastics Recreational Program levels to track skill development. Evaluations are completed in week 5 of each session, and report cards are handed out in week 6. Report cards show the skills the child has learned and mastered, along with the recommended class for the next session.
Yes. All recreational classes are co-ed.
For recreational classes other than Adaptive classes, the maximum capacity is 10 students per class.
No. Recreational athletes do not participate in competitions. They can participate in the spring showcase at the end of the season. Families interested in the competitive program can visit the competitive program page for more information.
Yes. Advanced Kindergym is available for 5-year-olds who are ready for a longer 1.5-hour class, and it helps bridge athletes toward 2-hour Beginner classes with a wider range of equipment. For recreational children over age 6, classes follow a Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced format. Pre-Competitive classes are available by tryout only.
Competitive Program
Athletes are selected by tryout with the Head Coach.
The time commitment depends on whether the athlete joins Developmental or Xcel classes. Competitive commitments range from 4 to 20 hours per week.
Glenmore Gymnastics is a non-profit club and relies on volunteering and fundraising. Fundraisers run at various times throughout the season and are optional. Competitive families are required to complete volunteer hours for credits based on the child's weekly hours.
If an injury keeps an athlete out of practice for more than 2 weeks, fees can be paused until the athlete is fit to return after a doctor's note is received.
Yes. After the necessary discussions between the family and coach, an athlete can transfer back into a recreational class if that is the best fit.
Facility and Safety

Coaches and staff respond according to club procedures and contact the parent or guardian when needed. Please keep emergency contact information up to date in your account.
